Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto on Tuesday, June 10, said the city government will fully support the Eastern Police District (EPD) when the Philippine National Police (PNP) starts to implements its five-minute response time program for public safety and order in the community.
Sotto made the statement during a simulation exercise conducted by the EPD for the PNP's 5-minute response time program, which was introduced under the leadership of PNP Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, held at the EPD Headquarters Conference Room in Caruncho Avenue, Pasig City.
He said the local government will fully support law enforcement agencies, noting, "If they have any request from the LGU, and if we are able to provide them, we will do so immediately."
The EPD added that Sotto's presence highlighted the importance of collaboration between the local government and law enforcement agencies in promoting community safety.
