Marcos may meet Trump in mid-2025

Philippine Ambassador to Washington Jose Manuel Romualdez raised the possibility of President Marcos meeting United States President Donald Trump in Washington in the first half of this year.
The schedule of the meeting may start shaping up after the visit of US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth this month and a possible visit by State Secretary Marco Rubio in April, Ambassador Romualdez said in an interview on Teleradyo Serbisyo on Monday, March 24.
“So, most likely, after the visits of these two officials from the United States, we will know the exact timing of President Marcos' visit to the United States," Romualdez shared, adding that he is hopeful this can be done "within the first half" of the year.
