Davao City OKs aid for quake-hit Cebu

The 21st Davao City Council has approved an ordinance under suspended rules authorizing acting Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte to utilize a portion of the city's Quick Response Fund as financial aid to areas in Cebu recently struck by a magnitude-6.9 earthquake.

The ordinance enacted during its 15th regular session on Tuesday allowed the city mayor to draw from the 30 percent QRF under the five percent Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (DRRME) of the city government for Calendar Year 2025.
