Celebrating the Day of German Unity
October 21, 2025
|Manila Bulletin
The German Embassy in Manila commemorated the 35th anniversary of German reunification with a celebration of the Day of German Unity on Oct. 2.
-
Held at the Shangri-La The Fort, the evening reception was hosted by German Ambassador Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke and his spouse, Marina Puhan Pfaffernoschke, and brought together a distinguished gathering of diplomats, government officials, business leaders, and friends of the embassy.
The event was a rich tapestry of cultural exchange and diplomatic goodwill. Guests were treated to performances by the renowned Ateneo Chamber Singers, who delivered a repertoire of both German and Filipino songs, and the Ryan Villamor Jazz Band, whose melodies added a festive ambiance. A fire dance by the Alab Poi Dancers and a Fall of the Berlin Wall exhibit further underscored the evening’s theme of unity and resilience.
