NU stays alive, nips FEU in five-set thriller
Reigning champion National University displayed grit and mental toughness to keep its five-peat bid alive, taking down Far Eastern University, 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 18-25, 15-11, to force a sudden-death Game 3 in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball finals at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City Wednesday, May 14.
With almost 10,000 fans in attendance, the Bulldogs showed great resolve after overcoming an 8-5 deficit in the fifth set to spoil the Tamaraws' celebration by arranging a third duel set Saturday, May 17, at the same venue.
