Avoid Tangos river due to gate repair, Tiangco asks Navotas folk

Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco has asked his constituents to temporarily avoid traversing the Tangos river channel on their boats upon the request of the contractor in charge of repairing the damaged Tangos-Tanza Navigation Gate.

Tiangco, an independent in the House of Representatives, made his appeal in a Facebook post over the weekend.

"The Department of Public Works and Highways and its contractor are requesting a three-day ban on the passage of boats and ships through the Tangos river channel to carry out various critical maintenance and repair work on the Navigational Gate," he wrote in Filipino.
