5.4-quake jolts Northern Luzon

A magnitude-5.4 earthquake struck Northern Luzon on Saturday, May 24, shaking several provinces but causing no immediate reports of damage or injuries, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs reported that the tectonic earthquake occurred at 10:36 a.m.
The epicenter was 31 kilometers north-northwest of Luna, La Union.
Phivolcs said the tremor was felt at Intensity IV in Candon City and Vigan City in Ilocos Sur.
Residents reported light shaking that may have disturbed hanging objects and caused minor movement of unsecured items.
