VISITORS WARNED TO EXPECT TRAVEL DELAYS AS ANNUAL CELEBRATION HITS STREETS

PEOPLE going into the city centre this weekend have been warned of travel disruption as hundreds of thousands of visitors attend this year's Manchester Pride.

The huge celebration of the LGBTQ+ community takes place across the city centre from Friday until Bank Holiday Monday.

On Saturday and Sunday Pride celebrations will be held in the Gay Village, Mayfield Depot site and in and around Liverpool Road, Deansgate and Whitworth Street, amongst others.

Manchester Pride is regarded as one of the biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the country and regularly attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year.
