Shawe View in Urmston
A HUGE new affordable housing development could soon be built around a marina.
The former Droylsden Library and adjacent Lock Keepers site have sat empty for years.
Landowners Tameside council declared both sites surplus to requirements in September 2020 following the relocation of library services to Guardsman Tony Downes House.
The 2.30 acre plot behind the library provides a unique waterside setting overlooking Droylsden Marina and the canal.
