JUDGE TELLS SERIAL CROOK TO 'KNOCK IT ON THE HEAD'

- By AMY WALKER

Dealer who sold drugs from cell is locked up AGAIN

A NOTORIOUS drug dealer who was previously caught supplying cocaine from his prison cell is back behind bars again.

Paul Gairns, 47, was seen outside the Bradford Inn pub, near to the Etihad Stadium, with two others in July this year. As police approached he ran off but was quickly caught up with.

Manchester Crown Court heard that officers found he was carrying a Kinder egg containing 15 grip sealed bags of brown powder, which was later confirmed to be 2.09g of heroin.

"Officer's further searched the defendant and found he had some cash, a burner phone, car keys and cards with a mobile phone number," said prosecutor Ella Worsley.

Gairns was arrested and denied the offence in a police interview, instead stating that he believed he was buying cocaine. He was said to have an 'appalling' record, especially for drug dealing offences.
