Darren's in charge for FA Cup clash

UNITED have asked Darren Fletcher to stay on as caretaker head coach for Sunday's FA Cup tie with Brighton at Old Trafford.

The Reds are set to continue talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick over stepping into an interim role until the end of the season over the next two days, but Fletcher will take charge of the clash with the Seagulls.

The Scot oversaw United's 2-2 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor last night and has been told by chief executive Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox that he will remain in charge for the game on Sunday.
