Yet another high street bank to cut its opening hours

HIGH street banking in Macclesfield has been dealt yet another blow after a major name announced it will cut opening hours.
-
The Cooperative Bank, located on Castle Street, will be available only between 9.30am and 2.30pm, with the change set to come into effect in January 2026.
It currently opens until 4.30pm but will become one of 40 branches across the UK to have shorter opening hours.
Despite these altered hours, the bank is yet to confirm any outright closures for affected sites.
