The roads are pretty quiet here in Gawsworth. Having said that, the whole village is quiet, let’s face it, we are unlikely to see Oasis performing at the Hall.

Can you imagine a Champagne Supernova hovering in the sky and Rupert telling the crowd about his mother’s jam while the Gallagher brothers knock chunks out of each other?

I'd definitely buy a ticket for that.

Here's something I’ve noticed recently...there are hardly any insects around.

It wasn’t that long ago you needed to stop and wipe insects off your windscreen in summer.

Not any more...I haven't done that for ages and I can’t help wondering what is happening to our ever-shrinking countryside?
