Road suffers new collapse

JUST when drivers thought things could not get any worse on the B5470 Macclesfield Road.......the route suf fered another collapse.
Cheshire East Council said on Thursday, June 26, that a bank near Reed Bridge, in Kettleshulme, had given way.
It comes on top of the carriageway collapse near Rainow in January - with that section of the road still shut and no date as yet when it will reopen.
This second incident is said to be smaller and required two-way tempo-rary lights were to be put in place rather than another closure.
