Man who set up £715k cannabis farm is jailed

A MAN who turned a former high street bank into a 'sophisticated' cannabis farm worth up to £715,000 has been jailed.
Voktot Isufaj, 43, used what was the Halifax branch, on Chestergate, Macclesfield, to grow more than 700 plants with heat lighting, fans and irrigation systems. Following the discovery police have since carried out a sweep of other former banks in the town to check if they were also being used by criminals.
Isufaj appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday, where he was sentenced to three years in prison.
He had previously admitted one charge of cannabis production.
