More than 250 objections are received to the plans
CONSULTATION closed this week on controversial proposals for 200 green belt homes, with more than 250 objections.
Bloor Homes is asking for outline planning permission for the development of agricultural land of Prestbury Road, Macclesfield.
The site is near the Bollin Valley.
Among objectors are ward councillors, Macclesfield Town Council, MP Tim Roca and scores of residents.
Reasons for opposition given include loss of green belt when brownfield sites should be used, the affect on wildlife, traffic, pollution from extra cars and pressure on amenities such as GP surgeries.
