Paralympian's aim to get more people travelling on bicycles and walking
IT would take you a very long time to list Dame Sarah Storey's achievements.
A starter for 10 would include: She's Great Britain's most successful paralympian. She's been honoured by the Queen. She's been nominated for BBC Sports Personality of the Year twice.
But Dame Sarah isn't content with 30 paralympic gold medals in swimming and cycling across four decades.
The Eccles-born athlete wants to leave a legacy beyond the pool and velodrome, which is why she is currently juggling Transport for Greater Manchester (TIGM) calls with gruelling training rides.
That's because Dame Sarah is Greater Manchester's 'active travel commissioner, trying to enable more people to 'walk, wheel, and cycle' regularly.
