Gary Neville branded ‘traitor’ by pitch invaders over flags

PITCH invaders waving England flags took aim at Gary Neville as they interrupted a Salford City football match this afternoon.

The tie with Oldham Athletic briefly stopped as several men stormed on to the pitch with hoodies saying ‘Gary Neville is a traitor’.

Far-right group Britain First claimed credit for the stunt, with the political party saying it had ‘teamed up with local Salford patriots’ to protest against the former England international's ‘treachery’.
