Juror accused of 'connection' to school in trial
July 09, 2025
|Llanelli Star
A MAN is accused of failing to disclose a “personal connection” to a secondary school at the centre of a trial in which he was a juror.
Last month Christopher Elias, 45, was charged with refusing to answer a question relating to qualification to serve on a jury but on Monday, June 30 at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court that allegation was withdrawn and a new charge was laid against him.
Elias is now accused of intentionally engaging in prohibited conduct by failing to “properly complete the jury questionnaire and disclose [he] had a personal connection with the school involved and the persons associated with the trial”.
