JAMIE Carragher has hit back at Mohamed Salah after he was called out by the Liverpool star over the weekend.

Salah, 33, named the former Liverpool star as he slammed Arne Slot and his ongoing treatment during the Reds' torrid run of form on Saturday evening following the 3-3 draw at Leeds United.

Salah claimed it "seems like the club has thrown me under the bus" before he added: "It is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame."

Salah then said: "After what I have done for the club it really hurts. You can imagine, really.

"After going from home to the club and you don't know if you are starting. I know the club too well, I have been here many years. Tomorrow Carragher is going to go for me again and again and that's fine."

And Carragher responded on Monday Night Football, where he was on punditry duties alongside James Maddison ahead of Manchester United's clash with Wolves.
