MAN, 47, CHARGED WITH MURDER OF POPULAR SHOPKEEPER, 44
A MAN will stand trial next year accused of murder after a shop keeper was stabbed to death.
Nilani Nimalarajah, 44, died after suffering knife wounds to her chest at Low Cost Food and Wine on Stanley Road in Bootle.
Nimalarajah Mathiyadaranam was charged with murdering the mum-of-three.
The 47-year-old, of Warrington Road, Widnes, appeared before Liv erpool Crown Court yesterday to face this charge, as well as charges of possession of a bladed article in a public place and of harassment by breaching a restraining order.
