Service to remember victims of Holocaust

The service in Liverpool town hall

LEADERS reiterated how the responsibility of remembrance doesn’t end with survivors as Liverpool marks Holocaust Memorial Day.

Today marks the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birk-enau, and serves as an act of remembrance of all victims of the Holocaust and more recent genocides.

A service was held at Liverpool Town Hall yesterday, led by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Barbara Murray.

It included prayers by Rabbi Natan Fagleman, Allerton Hebrew Congregation, and an Act of Commitment by representatives of other faiths.
