Kamara out to finish year on golden high

ODEL KAMARA wants to finish the year on a high by winning a gold medal at the upcoming World Boxing Cup in India.

Kamara claimed a bronze medal at the inaugural World Boxing Championships that took place at the M&S Bank Arena last month.

Part of Great Britain's Olympic programme, the Salisbury ABC man bowed out of the competition after being beaten in the semifinals by Kazakhstan's Torekhan Sabyrkhan.

The 21-year-old had been flawless on his way to the final four, but he was beaten 4-1 on the cards in his 70kg showdown.
