BARBERSHOP OPENS INSIDE NEW GYM ABOVE SPORTS DIRECT

- By PAUL MCAULEY

Jessica's venture is a barbers beside the barbells!

A FAMILY has spoken about the “opportunity of a lifetime” after opening a business inside a 158-year-old building.

The new Sports Direct officially opened to the public over the weekend, and occupying the top floor is a state-of-the-art Everlast gym.

The brand, found inside the former M&S building, hopes to set a new standard for city-centre fitness destinations. Classed by many as a trailblazer in the industry, Everlast Gyms delivers a hybrid experience, combining the best of big-box facilities and boutique studios to offer premium training.

However, this time around, alongside a dedicated Pilates room, a recovery space and a sauna, the company has also launched a barbershop. Locker Room Barbers prides itself on delivering “fresh fades, sharp styles and modem classics”.

At the helm of the shop is manager Jessica Savory. The 40-year-old from Wallasey, and her family, are no strangers to the industry having owned several shops previously.
