LEBANON and Israel were set to hold their first direct diplomatic talks in decades in the United States yesterday, following more than a month of war between Israel and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah militant group.
-
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was due to take part in the talks in Washington with Israeli ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, and Lebanese ambassador to the US, Nada Hamadeh Moawad.
