Go ahead for new homes

Plans for two houses at Portincaple have been granted permission by council officers.

Dom Redding's proposals for the site, on land south of Finnart Farmhouse on Feuins Road, attracted only one representation from the public.

However, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) had previously lodged an objection, before being assured that construction methods would make the houses robust enough to withstand any blast.

Argyll and Bute Council planning officials have now given the application the go-ahead, saying that the development would fit into the village.
