Sinfield is sprinting towards target of £777,777

FUND-RAISING CHALLENGE WILL BENEFIT MND RESEARCH

KEVIN Sinfield looks set to smash his latest fundraising challenge after raising more than half of his £777,777 target on its opening day.

The former Leicester Tigers defence coach and Leeds Rhinos rugby league star ran from Bury St Edmunds to Portman Road in Ipswich on Monday, the first of seven consecutive ultra-marathons across the UK and Ireland to raise more cash for research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

And soon after he had finished the initial leg of his 7 in 7: Together run, the total pledges for the cause had surpassed £450,000.

The total had passed £490,000 yesterday.

Sinfield was met at the finish line at Ipswich by former Ipswich Town striker Marcus Stewart, who is living with MND.
