Second bid for student flats lodged with council

NEW BLOCK WOULD BE BUILT ON CAR PARK

A CAR park behind an existing halls of residence in a town has been earmarked for a new student building.

If approved by Charnwood Borough Council, the one-storey block in Loughborough will be split into three flats.

Toplets Property Services hopes to build the flats on land at the rear of 111 to 115 Ashby Road, which already houses students.

The site is next to the Busy Bees Nursery, and is at the heart of the Ashby Road conservation area.
