Hamson wins Winter Open – but other tournament is called off

THE third in the series of Winter Opens organised and run by Golfing Days, the Leicestershire-based specialist golf and travel company, was disrupted by the weather.

The event at The Nottinghamshire GC went ahead as planned, but the one scheduled for Forest of Arden Hotel and GC a few days later had to be called off.

Heavy overnight rain on an already soaked course meant play was not possible.
