Families help forest to grow

STAFF from an energy infrastructure firm and their families have helped plant trees in the National Forest.

A team from Omexom helped out at Brookvale Wood, Groby, as part of the National Forest's 30th anniversary season.

Colleagues and their families spent the day planting native broadleaf saplings and learning about the forest's transformation from a postindustrial landscape into thriving habitats.

Steve Mosley, head of communications at Omexom, said: "Taking part in the planting day was a powerful reminder of why our partnership with the National Forest matters.
