IT was a bit of a wet start but the Riverside Festival this weekend attracted large crowds to the city for the biggest festival yet.
This year De Montfort University has got involved, expanding the size of the festival area - there were activities, stalls and entertainment on the campus, Castle Gardens, along Western Boulevard and on Bede Park.
As usual there were boat rides, kayaking sessions, dragon boat races, live music and crafts, as well as a pop-up art gallery, a mini-disco for children, a mountain bike skills show and lots of street food from around the world.
