Brehaut salutes his warriors!

LEEK Town will play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division next season after completing what for them was the great escape.
Seemingly doomed before Christmas, Josh Brehaut's side produced a stirring run of results including 10 wins up until the Easter period before losing 2-0 to Mickleover on Friday and Macclesfield 2-1 on Monday.
Those results mattered little in the grand scheme of things as Matlock Town's home defeat to Worksop on Saturday meant they took the final relegation spot.
With one game remaining, Leek are 13th and eight points clear of the drop zone as they head to their last game at Gainsborough Trinity with the chance to move to a final placing of 12th.
Conversely, should they lose, the five teams below them could leapfrog them but the chances of that happening given the form of some is slim.
The important thing for the Blues is survival and, given where they were, they have done it in style, despite the last two losses.
Whilst the Mickleover game was frustrating in that Leek should have gone in front which may have changed the outcome, the clash with Macclefield showed the Blues' true quality.
