A deadline for urgent works being started to repair a badly-damaged historic property in Preston has been met.

Preston City Council had been poised to go in and carry out urgent repair works on College House in Winckley Square. Known as Edith Rigby House - and the subject of a campaign to revive the building and bring it back as a museum in memory of the suffragette - it has rapidly fallen into disrepair in recent years.
