Vernons thrash Carnforth to move out of relegation zone

Vernon Carus have moved out of the bottom two in the NPL Division One courtesy of a big win over Carnforth at Factory Lane.

The hosts batted first and compiled a huge 270-4.
The top four all made significant contributions with Haren Shetty's 75 coming off just 53 deliveries and included five fours and five sixes.
Hasan Zaman (53) hit 10 boundaries, while skipper Wes Royle (48) and Ian Dunn (38) were also among the runs.
