A Lancashire history group is set to cover more ground with the launch of guided cycle tours.
The Friends of Winckley Square have been offering guided walks for almost ten years. All their 2025 walks so far have been fully booked and the public’s appetite for learning about the history of the Georgian square and surrounding area shows no sign of waning.
In fact, demand is increasing and so FoWS are extending their programme with an increased numbers and themes of walks. The latest innovation is evening walks, to cater for those who work full time.
