This week we've seen Mickey O'Rourke leave the Big Brother house. He was removed for offensive behaviour and remarks.
Back in 2017, I had a summer holiday in a mental asylum and spent three weeks in the Big Brother house too. Here's my take on why Mickey should not have been removed.
I have long been an advocate for free speech, and fighting the attitudes of 'cancel culture'. Today we balance a very fine line, trying to not offend everyone in the world. The simplest comments land us in hot water, and too many of them can see your whole career cancelled.
