A number of Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde AC runners were competitive last weekend even if Storm Amy meant that some scheduled events had to be cancelled.

The Cartmel Trail Races still managed to take place, though some of the races had to be shortened because of flooding on the course.

The Hall family made a day out of it, not just for sticky toffee pudding at the end but also to be prepared for the cross country season.

Stuart Hall (34th, 52:51) and wife Julie (47th, 57:54) were among the field for the scheduled 18k race, which was subsequently reduced to 10k.
