Justin Rose believes he has another Ryder Cup in him as a player before he turns his thoughts towards captaincy.

Rose, who at 45 is only two years younger than current captain Luke Donald, will feature in his seventh biennial event at Bethpage in New York having qualified automatically ahead of much younger players. Although he will not get close to fellow Englishmen Sir Nick Faldo and Lee Westwood's record of 11 appearances he hopes he can join the likes of Seve Ballesteros and Colin Montgomerie with number
