Shrimps boss under fire from fans after defeat

Morecambe suffered a 13th National League defeat of the season as they failed to score for a third game in succession.

Three first-half goals from the Pilgrims, who had lost four of their last five games, gave them a convincing cushion and the shot-shy Shrimps showed little sign of getting back into the game.

Ashvir Singh Johal came under fire from the Shrimps' supporters during the match.

The Pilgrims took a 24th minute lead as Lennel John-Lewis opened his account for the afternoon with a neat flick finish from Matty Carson's left wing cross.
