Magnificent partnership has an Eyre of beauty for Leyland

A brilliant 190-run partnership between Alexander Eyre and Jacob Wright paved the way for a fine win for Leyland over high-flying Settle at Marshfield Road.
The pair came together at 53-2 with the visitors facing the stiff challenge of chasing down an imposing total of 275-7.
But the duo made light work of the task, taking Leyland to within 34 runs of victory before Wright was denied a deserved century when he was out for 92.
He was certainly the aggressor, hitting seven fours and four sixes in his 85-ball stay at the crease.
