The big story of the weekend

There are a host of festivals and galas across the county this weekend for families to choose from.

In Central Lancashire, join in on the streets of Leyland to watch the spectacular parade pass through the town centre with heritage vehicles, sports cars, community floats and performance followed by a festival on Worden Park.

The theme for tomorrow's festival is 'Leyland loud and proud', Mardi Gras style.

And the town celebration will be hosting a bumper crop of food, beverages, crafts, and artisan talent with their stalls.
