Festival cancels day after rockers pull out of event

Lytham Festival bosses have been forced to cancel one day of the five-day event after injury forced American rock band Kings of Leon to pull out of their headlining spot.
The band cancelled their attendance at the festival on July 2, as well as their upcoming UK and European tour dates, after their frontman suffered a “serious” injury whilst playing with his kids.
A festival spokesman said: “Due to the cancellation of the Kings of Leon dates, we are sad to announce that they will no longer be performing at Lytham Festival on Wednesday 2 July. We wish Caleb a speedy recovery.
