It is a moving, untold story of how Rich Jenkins became Richard Burton, one of the biggest stars Wales has ever produced.
In 1942 Port Talbot, 17-year-old Richard Jenkins, Harry Lawtey, seems destined to follow in the footsteps of his alcoholic miner father, Steffan Rhodri, as war rages on the continent.
The teenager's burning passion for performance, fanned by teacher Philip Burton, Toby Jones, creates friction with his working-class background a la Billy Elliot.
