Kilmarnock’s axed Poundland store is set to be replaced by one of the UK’s biggest bed firms.
Blueprints show that Dreams plan to move into the Glencairn Retail Park unit when the discount retailer closes for the final time next month.
The company claims to be the UK’s leading bed specialist with over 200 stores nationwide.
Proposals lodged with East Ayrshire Council’s planning department show the firm's plan to erect new signs at the retail park store.
Planners approved the bid to change the signage but an opening date for the new store has yet to be confirmed.
The Poundland shop at the retail park is set to close in less than two weeks with bosses confirming the store will shut on January 5, 2026.
