Teen Girl Killed, 5 Injured As Eco Vehicle Rams Pedestrians In Rainawari

Grief swept through Rainawari on Wednesday after a tragic road accident in Jogi Lanker locality claimed the life of a 14-year-old schoolgirl and left five others injured, two of them critically.
The deceased was identified as Madiha Farooq Bhat, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Bhat of Gurpora, Rainawari. She succumbed to her injuries at JLNM Hospital shortly after being hit by an Eco van (DL-CAS 1744) that reportedly lost control and rammed into pedestrians.
Madiha’s body was brought home in the evening, where heartrending scenes unfolded as neighbours, relatives, and classmates gathered in mourning. “She was so full of life... her schoolbag still lies at home. None of us can't believe she is gone,” said a sobbing neighbour.
