Pulwama’s Circular Road To Be Free of Garbage In 15 Days

PULWAMA: In a major relief to the residents of Pulwama, authorities have announced that no further garbage will be dumped along the Circular Road, and that the current waste will be cleared within two weeks.
This comes after sustained public pressure over the years regarding the unsanitary conditions caused by unregulated dumping near residential areas, particularly near the Government Degree College (GDC) for Women.
An official from the Municipal Committee Pulwama told Observer News Service that a private firm has been awarded the contract to shift all accumulated waste from the Circular Road sites to the designated solid waste management facil-ity. “This process will be completed within 10 to 15 days,” he confirmed.
