Low Voltage Grips Kashmir as Power Demand Nears 3200 MW

The official further said that the heating load is also picking up during early morning and night hours. “The demand may further increase in the coming days.”

It also said that the severe voltage in Jammu and Kashmir is in violation of N-1.

N-1 in power systems is a security criterion ensuring that the grid continues to operate reliably without interruption, even if a single critical component like a generator, line, or transformer fails
