As Middle East flares, Ukraine is still priority
June 22, 2025
|Irish Sunday People
THE Supreme Leader of Iran looks in a very precarious position this weekend - and so does his autocratic and brutal extremist religious regime.
His proxies - Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis and militias in Iraq - who have been mostly responsible for instability in the Middle East for the last two decades, are almost expired.
Iran's quest to get “the bomb” - which, judging by its terror activities, it would most likely use - is evaporating in the embers of attacks on Natanz and other nuclear sites.
However, the erratic Donald Trump, self-styled with little to justify him as the greatest dealmaker on the planet, is now holding the region to ransom.
