Kerry hit the second half turbo to blow Rebels away

AN injury-hit Kerry produced a third quarter surge, inspired by David Clifford and Sean O'Shea, to come from behind and defeat Cork in this All-Ireland SFC Group 2 clash at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Three points down at the interval - 0-13 to 1-7 - and losing Barry Dan O'Sullivan, Paudie Clifford and Paul Geaney to injury, Jack O'Connor's charges had to respond on the resumption - and they did.

For all Cork’s possession and initial dominance, there were still 26 minutes run on the clock before the Rebels edged ahead for the first time.
