Louisa: Siobhan was simply the Derry best pick for host

DERRY Girls star Louisa Harland said Siobhan McSweeney was the "perfect choice" to host Traitors Ireland.

The pair worked together for several years on Lisa McGee's hit Channel 4 show, with Louisa playing Orla McCool and Siobhan playing Sister Michael, before Siobhan landed the role as host of RTE’s The Traitors Ireland.

Louisa, who has remained pals with Siobhan since Derry Girls catapulted them to stardom, said the Cork native was the “perfect choice” to present the show.

Speaking at the premiere screening of new RTE drama The Walsh Sisters, she told us: “I'm just so glad that they had the brilliant idea to go to Siobhan, because nobody could have done it.

“I mean, I could have told you that before even watching it.
